The Mount started as a hope for a relationally driven, creatively expressed, and informally run space to explore our faith. What if we are honest about who we are and the joys and struggles we have in searching for meaning and purpose in life? A decade later and we are still doing just that. We are a community that thrives on being raw and intentional with one another, not afraid of doubt or sitting in the discomfort of difficult questions. The Mount is for the individual, and about Christ. The Mount is for you. What are you about?

What you can expect: People mingle in at 6pm, grab a cup of coffee or tea, and head into the sanctuary to settle into a seat at a table. On a normal conversation night, we will have a time of prayer or a moment to reflect, talk through upcoming events, read a passage or take a moment to journal about a stimulating question, and then launch into a conversation for the remainder of the evening. Childcare is not provided at the moment, but little ones are welcome to join us in the service. We normally wrap up about 7:20, but you are always welcome to hang around after the service. Often we go out after The Mount and enjoy the local haunts of SLC.

The best place to start if you're curious about The Mount would be to join us on Sunday night at 6 pm or click on our connect page to contact our director, Matt Cain. We are a small group, so we like to keep things casual and intimate. We are also a creative group that mixes up what our Sunday evenings look like; music, group discussions, art nights, dinners, etc.

Everyone is welcome at The Mount. We work hard to communicate that in everything that we do and after coming a time or two we hope you'll agree. We love and appreciate that everyone comes from a different place in their faith; we're working out our faith in Jesus and learning to live like him.
