CS Lewis Radio Discussion Series

In 1941, the beginning of WW2, across the U.K. the new daily order to life would have a pause at 7.45. “Lewis is on.” Several series of talks by C.S. Lewis. Including talks in 1943 that would become Christianity Today’sbest book of the 20thcentury, Mere Christianity. This time was to consider God and examine our own humanity. In this uncertain time, facing a very real and tangible enemy, this incredible lay-shepherd would speak tenderly yet with authority to the UK like they were his students and friends. And he begins with a talk called, “Common Decency.” He starts with a talk on decency, morals, and the ethics of meaning translated into their present moment. Do you think these talks and that moment have something to offer us here in ours?

The Mount will be starting a new “CS Lewis Radio” discussion series during the Mount beginning on May 3rd . Visit our Covid-19 page for instructions on how to join us on zoom.  In accompaniment we will begin a new CS Lewis book study beginning on Thursdays starting May 14th. Our choices are between Weight of Glory, Four Loves, Mere Christianity, and The Great Divorce.
